Acacia House provides a peaceful & private base for the discerning guest who is traveling for personal or professional reasons in or around Oakland, California.  We are located in the upscale Rockridge Community convenient to cafes, restaurants, shopping,  museums,  theaters, University of California,  California College of Arts & Crafts, Holy Names College, Mills College, Children's Hospital, recreational facilities, the Chabot Observatory, sports arenas, tennis courts, public transportation (Rockridge Bart Station & AC Transit), and accessible to  downtown Oakland, Berkeley, Emeryville, Alameda, San Francisco, Orinda, Lafayette, or Walnut Creek.  We are a short drive from the Wine Country.

Acacia House was built in the Italianate style in 1994 and is noted for its magnificent views of the Oakland hills, its soaring ceilings and grand windows.  This one of a kind home is graced by native California live oak trees and an occasional acacia.  A security gate opens onto a winding walkway with stairs leading you through a hand-made Brazilian cherry and Australian lacewood door into a plant filled atrium adjacent to the Acacia Suite.  You are invited to relax and enjoy the secluded, peaceful garden planted in California shurbs, grasses, roses, oaks, & redwood trees.

The Acacia Suite accommodates guests in a  private three room suite on the ground floor and is furnished in antiques & art from around the world.
